    How to become officer step by step ?

    The Civil Services Exam (CSE) in India is a nationwide competitive examination conducted by
    the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment of candidates to various Central and All
    India Civil Service posts in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Forest Service (IFS), Indian
    Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), etc.
    Eligibility Criteria : Any graduate degree (distance education as well as recognized by UGC/AICTE)

    Age limit and number of attempts :

    General :
    Age : 21yrs to 32 yrs
    Attempts : 6

    OBC:
    Age : 21yrs to 35 yrs
    Attempts : 9

    SC / ST:
    Age : 21yrs to 37 yrs
    Attempts : Unlimited

    Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) :

    Civil services examination is conducted in three stages.

    1. Preliminary Examination :

    This stage is screening stage. The purpose of preliminary examination is to screen out unqualified candidates and to screen in qualified candidate for main examination. Marks obtained in preliminary examination are not considered in for final ranking. Paper – 1 is multiple choice questions (MCQs) type examination with 1/3 rd negative marking for wrong answers. The paper of CSAT is qualifying in nature. Candidate has to secure minimum 33% marks in this paper. The merit list of preliminary examination is based on marks obtained in paper – 1.

    2. Main Examination:

    This stage is selection stage. The purpose of main examination is to select suitable candidate for
    personality test (Interview). The main examination is totally descriptive in nature. Candidate can write
    mains examination in English as well as in any of 22 languages given under 8th schedule of
    constitution. i.e. Marathi, Hindi, etc.

    Duration : 3 years, Classes till selection.
    Batches starts in : You can join this batch in any month of the year.

    Preliminary + Mains + Interview Integrated Batch for 10 th Pass students.
    Duration : 5 years, Classes till selection.
